Big Dog Rescue Ranch
Our Newest Rescue Ranch in Shorter!
The Shorter location is called, “Big Dog Ranch Rescue, Alabama” and serves as the sister site to the Palm Beach County, Florida location. The ranch has 16 kennels and several other structures that are under renovation. The new campus will allow Big Dog Ranch Rescue to double its impact by eventually saving 10,000 dogs each year, according to owners.
The Big Dog Rescue Ranch opened its second location at the former greyhound training facility in Shorter. The Big Dog Rescue Ranch will serve as a rescue, rehabilitation and adoption center for neglected and abused dogs in the south. And, it will be the largest cage-free no-kill rescue facility in the United States.
The new campus will serve as a transitional hub for shelters in the Northeast, allowing us to rescue and vet dogs from Southern states and transport adoptable dogs to our Northeastern rescue partners.
